CALL TO ORDER
President Jael Regis called the meeting to order at 5:02 p.m.
AGENDA
The agenda was reviewed. MSP to approve the agenda with no additions or corrections.
ATTENDANCE
Attending were President Jael Regis, Treasurer Jada Regis. Also attending were Rick Scoles, Ann Van Dielen, Diane Wilson, Ralph and Sally Pierce, Janet Cwalinski, Micky McGarry-Kester, Rosanna and Paul Currier.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
President Jael Regis read the minutes of the meeting of July 25, 2017.
MOTION
MSP to approve the minutes of July 25, 2017.
TREASURER’S REPORT
Jada Regis presented the Treasurer’s report, for the period July 16, 2017 through August 15, 2017, indicating The Treasurer’s report showed a balance of $4,645.91 plus $18,050 in donations and pledges to the Gallo House/Welcome Center Project.
MOTION
MSP to approve the Treasurer’s Report of August 15, 2017, as presented.
OLD BUSINESS
Gallo House Project Report:
The body discussed the capital campaign which is in full swing. With $18,050 pledged to date, the balance needed by September 26, 2017, is $23,450.
MOTION
MSP to approve up to $400.00 for postage to mail the campaign pamphlets to Northport Alumni.
Website Construction Progress:
Jada discussed the new donation portal on the website indicating that the test was successful and that we are being charged the lower fees because of our non-profit status.
Audit of Financial Records:
Ann VanDielen reported that the audit of the financial records is complete.
Meeting with State Architect
On August 1, 2017, the leadership team had an hour long conference call with Nicholas Vann, the State of Washington architect with the Department of Archeology. He supported the viability of the project and offered his assistance and guidance through each phase.
NEW BUSINESS
Labor Day Planning
There will be an information booth set up in the Park and the Boom Town Garter Girls, who are walking in the parade, will perform at the beer garden in the afternoon while Diane auctions off a leg-lamp donated by Ann Van Dielen while Rick Scoles wears cans and collects donations. Jim Murphy will set up the sound system.
Tell a Northport Story
Micky McGarry-Kester, the only child of Jim McGarry and Jean Griesmeyer, was raised in Northport until middle school. Her father died in an accident and her mother married Ralph Beusan. [I’m just guessing here—anyone want to fill in??]

MSP to adjourn meeting at 5:55 p.m.
The next scheduled meeting will be September 26, 2017, Tuesday at 5:00 p.m. at the Christian Ed Building.
