An exploration of Chinese placer mining on the Northport reach of the Columbia River

For the purposes of this report, the Northport reach of the Columbia River is from the mouth of Flat Creek at river mile 721.5, fourteen miles below Northport, WA, to the international boundary at river mile 745.
Numerous washed areas of riverbank have been catalogued along with a number of ditches that were constructed to provide water to the worked areas.
